Privacy
Short version: you do not need an account, we do not ask for personal information to use the lookups, and we do not sell or share information about you.
What this site collects
- Visitor counter. A simple counter notes that a visit happened. It uses a salted one-way code made from your IP address and browser; the IP address itself is not stored. It is used only to count visits and spot unusual traffic.
- Web server logs. Like every website, the server keeps standard technical logs (such as the page requested and the time) for security and troubleshooting.
- Chat assistant. If you use the chat box, your messages are sent to an AI service to produce an answer. If you rate an answer, the conversation and your rating are saved so the answers can be improved. Do not type personal or medical details into the chat.
- Report / suggest form. If you send a message through the form, we receive what you type, and the email address if you give one, so we can reply.
Lookups (drugs, VA facilities and forms)
When you search, this site's server asks the public data source (for example openFDA, or the VA's public data) on your behalf. The source sees this server, not your browser or IP address. What you type (a drug name, a ZIP code, a form number) is used to run the search and is not tied to you. Results may be stored temporarily, for up to a day, to make the site faster and to stay within each source's limits.
We never ask for, collect or store veteran status, service history, Social Security numbers, health records, or account details.
Other sites we link to
Links to other sites (including va.gov) leave this site. Their privacy practices are theirs.
